Professor Eishi Baba Participated in the JSMO/ASCO Young Oncologist Workshop 2026
The JSMO/ASCO Young Oncologist Workshop 2026, jointly organized by the Japanese Society of Medical Oncology (JSMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), was held on June 13–14, 2026, at AP Tokyo Yaesu. Professor Eishi Baba of our department participated in the workshop.
This workshop is an educational program designed to foster young physicians who will lead future clinical research. Conducted entirely in English, the program aimed to provide participants with opportunities to learn about the latest topics in clinical research on cancer pharmacotherapy, develop their understanding of research methodology by refining their own clinical research proposals, and enhance their research presentation skills for international conferences.
Under the theme “Innovative Trial Designs and Strategies for Emerging Therapeutics and Precision Oncology,” the 2026 workshop brought together lecturers from JSMO and ASCO. The program featured lectures and discussions on topics including clinical trial design, precision oncology, and cancer genomic medicine.
Through interaction with leading experts from Japan and abroad, the workshop provided young medical oncologists with a valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge of clinical research, further develop their research plans, and grow as future leaders in cancer care and clinical research.
