The Medical Oncology Seminar 2026 (MOS 2026) for medical students and residents, organized by the Japanese Society of Medical Oncology (JSMO), was held on July 25–26, 2026, at the Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel. Professor Eishi Baba of our department participated in the seminar as Chair of the JSMO Education Committee.

The seminar was designed for medical students, junior residents, and young physicians in specialty training, with the aim of deepening their understanding of medical oncology and cancer pharmacotherapy and fostering the next generation of professionals who will contribute to cancer care.

The program featured a wide range of educational activities, including lectures on precision medicine and advance care planning (ACP), case studies, group work, and panel discussions on career paths in medical oncology.

Through discussions and interactions with medical oncologists actively engaged at the forefront of cancer care, the seminar provided participants with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of oncology and consider their future careers in the field.
